Conjunctivitis, The Ailment Behind Those Pink Eyes

Conjunctivitis is an eye ailment characterized by soreness and redness of an eye or both eyes in a person. The inflammation occurs in the clear covering that coats or protects the white portion of the eye. Conjunctivitis also affects the lines which are inside the eye lids. This infection of the eye sometimes quickly manifest, but it may be a consolation that the duration of the infection would only last for just a short period of time. Conjunctivitis, or more popularly known as pink eye, is not curable, only treatable. That means, even without medication the infection would subside. The body will mostly do its work in curtailing this eye ailment. It should be noted, however, that people with conjunctivitis should seek immediate medical help to ease and relieve the discomfort that will surely arise from its onset. Pain Caused By Mind

Susan, a 40-year-old school teacher, was suffering from daily headaches, neck pains, shoulder pains, chronic feelings of tension and sleepless nights. After performing a number of diagnostic tests and a thorough examination, Susan s physician informed her that her X-rays, blood tests and MRI indicated she had no physical problems. Yet Susan s pain was very real. To her surprise, her doctor told her that her physical pains and discomforts were symptoms of depression. Susan is one of several people who tell their stories of painful physical symptoms disrupting their lives in a video titled When the Mind Causes Pain. The video was produced by Freedom From Fear, a nonprofit mental illness advocacy organization. Freedom From Fear began its focus on pain and depression with a survey to explore the impact of physical symptoms on an individual s work, social life and family life. What You Should Know About Using Zyban To Quit Smoking

Smoking addiction is an extremely bad habit to break. During the years, many therapies are developed to aid people to quit smoking. One of the them is the nicotine replacement therapy which is consist of nicotine patches, gums or even sprays. The products releases a supply of nicotine to the bloodstream. There is another therapy and approach is becoming more popular amongst people which is the use of the drug Zyban also known as bupropion hydrochloride. The development of Zyban as a therapy to aid quit smoking was an accident. The drug was originally design as an anti-depressant drug. During the trial of the drugs, there were many smokers who participated. It was found that those smokers have lost total interest in smoking and it was easy to quit. Thus in 1997, it was approved by the FDA as an effective quit smoking therapy and aid. Zyban does not work the same way as nicotine replacement therapies. It does not release any nicotine.
